We love everything wedding related here at Christchurch Weddings! No matter the budget or style, if your day is a perfectly unique representation of you, or you’ve done a tonne of out-of-the-box thinking we want to be the first to show it off and accompany the visual diary of your day with your love story.

If you’re wanting an idea of what makes a fabulous Christchurch Weddings Submission, head to the bottom of this page for a few Q+A we have put together.

Then you can head to the Christchurch Weddings Submissions page and send through your wedding goodness to feature. Following acceptance, a full questionnaire will be sent out for completion to the couple. The more information we can have upfront, the more we have to work with and the better the online memoir of the wedding day will be!

Guidelines

A few key things:

Submissions will only be accepted with both the photographer and couples permission
Christchurch Weddings loves to feature unique, exclusive wedding day stories. Please ensure that your work has not been featured elsewhere.
We want to be able to tell a full story of the day, including those special in-between moments that give all the feels, so please provide a gallery that encompasses that.
Photos must be sent through in web resolution.
Submissions are not always guaranteed to be accepted. Where possible Christchurch Weddings will provide you with feedback for next time if declined.
Please ensure your gallery is sent through with the day unfolding in the correct order, it’s a huge help!
Please send through a highlights gallery of approx 150-300 images only.

What to avoid:

Please refrain from posting images of the wedding submitted on social media until after your feature is published. This goes for all vendors involved in the wedding day.
Sending through an entire gallery. We take an incredibly personal approach here at Christchurch Weddings, so receiving a full gallery means we can take half a day to put together the perfect representation of a wedding day. As a small team, please don’t do that to us!

+ Do you support same-sex marriage?

We see no other way to put it, other than that love IS love. Marriage to us is simply about two people making a commitment to their forever together. Christchurch Weddings was created for everyone and will always be a community for all.

We would love nothing more than to share more, so if you have photos of your wedding day to send us, we welcome your email with the most open of arms!

Some vendors submit more, it’s as simple as that. So please pop that submission through and let the magic spread across the pages of the CW WWW.

The Christchurch Weddings audience loves any kind of inspiration so we welcome features from all across the globe. It’s a great way for vendors to reach the local market if you’re based elsewhere and hoping to work here in our incredible region a bit more.

+ I’ve been disappointed in the promotion of my submission elsewhere, what do you offer?

It’s incredibly important to us that your feature is seen. After all, we are so proud that you chose us to share it! For each wedding feature, you will receive a blog post with a visual diary of the day accompanied by your couples love story, multiple social media story posts and a minimum of three social media feed posts in the weeks following publication - All with different captions! If you’re wanting to build awareness of your business in the area you’re based in, Christchurch Weddings offers the best place to do this with its local Canterbury audience - These are the people that will book you, so it makes perfect sense to get submitting!
